We’re delighted to welcome you to the World Cats Cup, a tournament dedicated to pursuing all kinds of catfish using bottom tackle! This exciting competition will take you on a journey through the most beautiful fishing locations of Fishing Planet! Go on a fishing world tour from Lake Saint-Croix in North America, through Germany’s Sander Baggersee Lake and Louisiana's Quanchkin, to the semi-finals at the Marron River in Bolivia and finals in Brazilia’s Amazonian Maze. Compete with top players for fame, recognition, and a prize pool of a considerable amount of Credits, BaitCoins, and unique fishing tackle!


Terms of Participation


  • Everyone is eligible to register and participate in the Tournament.
  • All player level restrictions for visiting waterways in the Tournament-related States will be temporarily lifted for all players registered in the Tournament.
  • Tournament registration fee covers all necessary Licenses for all the qualifying fish in the waterways of Tournament-related States. Licenses will be valid only for the duration of the Tournament for all participants regardless of their performance.
  • Tournament Rounds include: 3 Qualifiers, Semifinal and Final Round. A player who is already qualified to compete in the Semifinal Round cannot participate in the remaining Qualifying Rounds.
  • Winners of every Tournament Round are awarded in-game prizes.

Rules and Restrictions


  • It is only allowed to use bottom tackle.
  • It is allowed to use boats only for movement. Only fish caught from the shore counts.
  • It is allowed to use rod stands.
  • It is allowed to release caught fish. Points will be saved.
  • Only 10 largest fish caught during the tournament round are counted.
  • The winner is determined by the total weight of 10 largest fish caught.
  • Each Qualifying Round last 20 hours. Within this period, players may choose a 2-hour time window to pass the Qualifier.
  • Qualifier Results become available 4 hours after the end of a Qualifying Round.
  • To get to the Semifinal Round a player must make it to the Top-20 in either one of the Qualifiers.
  • Semifinal and Final Rounds of the Tournament are held in real time, lasting 2 hours simultaneously for all players.
  • Only players who make it to the Top-20 in the Semifinal, will proceed to the Final Round.
  • Upon completion of each tournament stage, players with the Top-10 results get rewards. Additional Prize is awarded for the biggest single fish caught.
  • Top-3 Tournament Finalists are awarded with valuable prizes: Credits, BaitCoins, exclusive tackle and unique equipment.

The first qualifier of the World Cats Cup will take place on Lake Saint-Croix, Michigan, one of the most beautiful fishing locations in North America! This is your first of three chances to compete with other players for a place in the Top 20 and enter the Semi-Finals of the first catfish tournament focused on bottom fishing — World Cats Cup!


  • Catch all forms of Brown Bullhead and Blue Catfish.
  • It is only allowed to use bottom tackle.
  • It is allowed to use boats only for movement. Only fish caught from the shore counts.
  • It is allowed to use rod stands.
  • It is allowed to release caught fish. Points will be saved.
  • Only 10 largest fish caught during the tournament round are counted.
  • The winner is determined by the total weight of 10 largest fish caught.
  • To get to the next Round, a player must have one of the Top 20 results.
  • Only Top-10 players will be awarded with prizes at the end of this round.
  • There is an additional Prize for the biggest single fish caught.

Consider yourself lucky for not passing the first qualifying competition, because this one takes you to the magnificent Sander Baggersee Lake! Don’t miss your chance to show one of the Top 20 results and earn your place in the Semi-Finals of this catfish tournament!

This third qualifier concludes the qualification round of the World Cats Cup, which means this is your last chance to enter the Top 20 and compete in the Semi-Finals of our first catfish tournament dedicated to bottom fishing! So, collect your strength and follow us to Quanchkin’s swampy banks to catch the biggest Catfish there is!

Welcome to the tropical forests of North Bolivia, where River Marron is hosting the Semi-Finals of the World Cats Cup, Fishing Planet’s first tournament dedicated to catfish bottom fishing! The Semi-Finals will be packed with intense action, as 60 best bottom anglers who have reached the Top 20 in the qualifiers will compete to earn a spot in the Finals.

After the highly intense and competitive atmosphere of the previous stages, this final and decisive round will take place in Brazil, on the magnificent banks of the Amazonian Maze, rightfully considered to be one of the best locations for bottom fishing in the world! This is where the Top 20 finest anglers of the fishing world will clash to earn their victory, fame, champion title, and of course, valuable prizes!
