Starting points
Willow Lake
If one were to ask where’s the best Carp fishing in Britain, Weeping Willow Lakes would be the answer. Now, if one were to ask which of the five marvellous lakes is best, we could say that each one has its own unique fishing charm and challenges. But anglers tend to agree, that the biggest Carp seem to dwell in the oldest and deepest of all lakes - the Willow Lake, which is in fact the original natural lake, around which the other four manmade ponds were created just a few decades ago for the purpose of fishing recreation. The lake with its legendary century-old weeping willow is located in the easternmost part of the complex, being the smallest and yet deepest of all, its grassy shore steadily descending into the still waters. There, in deep crevices and holes, lurk all your favorite bottom-dwellers: meaty Carp, supple Bream and juicy Tench.
Golden Lake
Heading further down south along the sunny willow-grown path, the angler stumbles upon yet another aquatic pearl of the Weeping Willow necklace - the Golden Lake. Grown with charming lily pads and yellow irises, this wetland is said by some to get its name from the golden gleam of its waters in the rays of late-summer sun. However, the true reason is far more satisfying to any angler in search of the unique Golden Tench, abundantly dwelling in the still waters of Golden Lake. Surrounded by luscious green trees, this reed-grown enigmatic pond’s soothing atmosphere to quench weary traveller’s desire for peace and quiet is also home to different fish species, like Carp, Bream and Carassius.
Weeping Willow Administration
Welcome to the Weeping Willow Lakes fishing complex, a 120-acre fishery with over 45 acres of water surface that is suitable for anglers of all levels and age groups! Our marvelous willowy fishery encompasses a total of 5 match lakes: Willow Lake, Bridges Lake, Cave Lake, Arbor Lake and Golden Lake as well as the lovely Grasswickshire River - all available for day & night fishing. The Weeping Willow Administration is here to cater to your needs with its convenient leisure facilities and an on-site tackle shop! We hope you enjoy your stay! Tight Lines!
Arbor Lake
This magnificent little peninsular with a lovely gazebo right in the middle of Arbor Lake is perhaps the most popular fishing spot in the whole complex. Treating its guests to a stunning sunrise view of the pristine landscape, Arbor Lake engulfs you whole with its hypnotic vibe of relaxing freedom. The the old wooden gazebo peacefully overlooks this glorious fishing paradise with its dense green reeds and the gradual grassy shore descending into the murky waters that surround the weary traveller, as if cutting off all worries and hassles and leaving them somewhere behind...anywhere, but here. Just listen to the songs of summer birds and you feel the rustling of crispy grass underneath your feet...and meditate in serene concentration as you fish for supple Bream, meaty Carp or feisty Tench.
Grasswickshire River
Once you’ve explore the bottom-fishing paradise of the five Weeping Willow’s match lakes, you can grab your favorite spinning rod and go get some predators! This meandering shallow river, charming in its serene natural beauty, looks both old and ageless at the same time. Indeed, together with the Willow Lake, this natural waterway was the source and foundation for the rest of the Weeping Willow Lakes fisheries. But that is history...whereas in the eyes of our angling guests, the Grasswickshire River is a breath of fresh air with its pleasant contrast of slow, but existent current and clearer waters as opposed to its still-watered aquatic companions within the complex. The river’s grassy steep shores abruptly descend into the cool waters, making it is just the place to get out your spinning tackle and finally catch some Northern Pike, European Perch and Chub!
Cave Lake
In the southeastern part of the Weeping Willow Lakes fishing complex you can indulge in fishing right amidst the cool calm waters of Cave Lake. This unique fishing spot is located on a small island right in the middle of a rather vast wetland, and is just the place to escape the heat of late summer days with your favorite match rod in hand and the sweet fresh breeze caressing all your senses in its exquisite spontaneity. Relaxing and mesmerizing in its purity, Cave Lake boasts a rather varied underwater terrain with crevices and caves that are perfect hideout for many bottom-dwellers, including Carp, Tench, Carassius and Bream.
Bridges Lake
In the northernmost part of Weeping Willow fisheries, anglers can find Lake Bridges - a real fishing wonderland with a maze of wooden bridges connecting small picturesque islands scattered across the lake’s mirrory surface. Just the sight for sore eyes, this picturesque fishing spot is the place to go with your favorite match rod if you’re up for a good hunt. Numerous Carp, Bream, Tench, Carassius and more underwater dwellers await their worthy opponent looking for the fish fight of their life.
