Welcome to Virtual Bass Open, the annual Bass Sportfishing Tournament hosted by Fishing Planet that is meant to honor this year’s Father’s Day - the perfect holiday to spend celebrating the symbolic and deep meaning of the sacred father-and-son connection by doing some good ’ol fishing! Сompete in catching virtual Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted Bass to win valuable in-game prizes and prove yourself to be the best Bass angler in history of virtual fishing! Can your bass fishing skills take you to the top and land you one of the first three winning places? Enter the Virtual Bass Open, pass the Qualifiers, get to the Final Round and compete against the very best to become the Virtual Bass Open Champion! First-place winner and two runner-ups gets the fame, the glory and the Champion status! Don’t miss the most real sportfishing tournament of the virtual realm!


Terms of Participation


  • Everyone is eligible to register and participate in the Tournament.
  • All player level restrictions for visiting waterways in Tournament-related States will be temporarily lifted for all players registered in the Tournament.
  • Tournament registration fee covers all necessary Licenses for all the qualifying fish in the waterways of Tournament-related States. Licenses will be valid only for the duration of the Tournament for all participants regardless of their performance.
  • Tournament Rounds include: 3 Qualifiers, Semifinal and Final Round. A player who is already qualified to compete in the Semifinal Round cannot participate in the remaining Qualifying Rounds.
  • Winners of every Tournament Round are awarded in-game prizes.

Rules and Restrictions


  • All Bass you catch should meet the Tournament’s minimum weight requirements: 1 lb (0.435 kg.).
  • Players may use only spinning or casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Players must use a Keepnet. No Stringers are allowed.
  • Only 10 fish from the player’s Keepnet will count in the Tournament. Any fish above that limit must be released.
  • Winner is determined by the total weight of 10 fish in the Keepnet at the end of a Round.
  • Each Qualifying Round last 20 hours. Within this period, players may choose a 2-hour time window to pass the Qualifier.
  • Qualifier Results become available 4 hours after the end of a Qualifying Round.
  • To get to the Semifinal Round a player must make it to the Top-20 in either one of the Qualifiers.
  • Semifinal and Final Rounds of the Tournament are held in real time, lasting 2 hours simultaneously for all players.
  • Only players who make it to the Top-20 in the Semifinal, will proceed to the Final Round.
  • Upon completion of each tournament stage, players with the Top-10 results get rewards.
  • Additional Prize is awarded for the biggest single fish caught.
  • Top-3 Tournament Finalists are awarded with valuable prizes: Credits, BaitCoins and unique equipment.

Qualifier #1

The 1st Qualifying Round of Virtual Bass Open will be held in Michigan, on the breathtaking banks of Lake Saint-Croix - one of the best fishing destinations in North America. This is your 1st chance out of 3 to compete against other anglers as you prove yourself to be one of the 20 most proficient Bass catchers and get through to the Semifinal!


  • Catch Smallmouth Bass, considering required minimum weight - 1 Lb (0.435 kg.).
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.
  • Only 10 fish from your Keepnet will count in the Tournament. You will have to release some of the fish once you exceed this limit.
  • The winner is determined by the total weight of the Top 10 fish in his Keepnet at the end of the Round.
  • There is an additional Prize for the biggest single fish caught.
  • To get to the next Round, a player must have one of the Top 20 results.

This is the 2nd Qualifying Round of Virtual Bass Open and your second chance to get one of the twenty best results and go through to the Semifinal if you didn’t make it to the Top-20 in the 1st Qualifier! Taking place in Florida’s stunningly beautiful Everglades, you might even like the fact that you taking another go at the Qualifiers.


  • Catch Largemouth Bass, considering required minimum weight - 1 Lb (0.435 kg.).
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.
  • Only 10 fish from your Keepnet will count in the Tournament. You will have to release some of the fish once you exceed this limit.
  • The winner is determined by the total weight of the Top 10 fish in his Keepnet at the end of the Round.
  • There is an additional Prize for the biggest single fish caught.
  • To get to the next Round, a player must have one of the Top 20 results.

This is the 3rd and final Qualifying Round and your last chance to score one of the Top-20 results and make it to the Semifinal of Virtual Bass Open! So head on to Missouri’s Mudwater River and do your very best to outperform other anglers in catching Largemouth Bass!


  • Catch Largemouth Bass, considering required minimum weight - 1 Lb (0.435 kg.).
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.

Welcome to the Semifinal Round of Virtual Bass Open, the annual sportfishing Tournament and the most realistic fishing event in the history of cybersports! Taking place on the banks of North Carolina’s Neherrin River, this heated competition is a desperate battle between 60 best Bass anglers who all made it to the Top 20 in the Qualifiers and will now fight for the right to take part in the Final Round!


  • Catch Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, considering required minimum weight - 1 Lb (0.435 kg.).
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.

At long last, after all the thrill, drive and excitement of the previous stages, you’ve made it to the Final Round of Virtual Bass Open, the annual sportfishing Tournament! This unforgettable event that is all about honoring and celebrating this year's international Father's Day, is taking place on the dreamy Quanchkin Lake in the swampy area of Louisiana - the ultimate angling destination for catching Largemouth and Spotted Bass! Here the 20 best anglers belonging to the angling Elite will fight their final fishing battle for victory, fame, valuable prizes, and of course the title of a Bass Masters Open Champion!


  • Catch Largemouth and Spotted Bass, considering required minimum weight - 1 Lb (0.435 kg.).
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.
  • Only 10 fish from your Keepnet will count in the Tournament. You will have to release some of the fish once you exceed this limit.
