Description

Steelhead Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is a  sea-run form of the coastal Rainbow Trout that usually returns to fresh water to spawn after living two to three years in the ocean. Steelhead Trout can reach up to 25 kg (55 lbs) in weight and 120 cm (45 in) in length, though its average size is much smaller, typically around 2-5 kg (4-11 lbs) and 60-80 cm (20-30 in).
