King of the Green Bay

King of the Green Bay

This incredible fishing location on the south-east bank of Saint-Croix is called the Greenpoint Bay and has one of the lake’s most remote spots for enjoying the wildlife scenery on the entire lake. Here, the sloped grass grown shore gradually descends into the cool shallow waters, a bit silty closer to shore and turning to a mystic deep blue as your sight glides further towards the horizon. Loosen up and relax as you feel the old wooden docks under your feet and catch Trophy Northern Pike and Muskellunge with the refreshing spring breeze caressing your face. The spiritual beauty of this picturesque landscape, create a serene and empowering “King of the World” atmosphere that restores your energy, rejuvenates your body and soothes the tired mind.

Vanishing Rock Light

Vanishing Rock Light

Let’s move down the Conifer Channel, a waterway connecting Lake Saint-Croix and Lake Michigan. Here you’ll find a marvelous sunset spot next to the beautiful Vanishing Rock Light, a notorious lighthouse marking safe entry to the welcoming waters of Saint-Croix. Overlooking the clear deep waters of Lake Michigan, this enigmatically charming lighthouse was built back in the 1880's and has quite a history of its own. Originally called Michigan Breakwater Light, it was renamed by the locals after the breakwater vanishing mystery in 1930, when on a stormy night four lighthouse keepers disappeared from their duty stations without a trace. At the time, they were officially thought to have been swept out to sea by a freak wave. But ten years later, when three more keepers vanished on a still spring night leaving behind important personal belongings, there was no place for such mundane conclusions. The case officially remained unsolved and the lighthouse earned its spooky name, attracting many visitors throughout the year. Cool story, huh? But this spot is appealing to anglers for entirely different reasons: big Yellow Perch, meaty Brook Trout, plump Walleye and savory Smallmouth Bass are just to name a few.

From Dawn Till Dusk

From Dawn Till Dusk

This incredible fishing location on the east bank of Lake Saint-Croix is conveniently located atop a lovely pier stretching along the Conifer Channel. This remote area is adored by local anglers for two reasons, one of which makes this spot a true gem among fishing locations. This place is known to be the “it” spot among locals for going after fish like Walleye, Brook Trout, Yellow Perch, Brown Bullhead Catfish or Rock Bass and probably the best spot for mighty Smallmouth Bass... so many delicious dwellers lurking in these deep waters. The second reason is this spot’s unique sightseeing specialty. Here you can enjoy both the best sunrise and sunset views on the entire lake! While in the early morning hours the sun gleefully shines from behind, caressing you with its heartwarming rays, as the evening draws closer you can enjoy the fiery sunset and reflect on the day gone by...a fulfilling day of fishing...a day from dawn till dusk.

Woods of the Eastern Bank

Woods of the Eastern Bank

Lake Saint-Croix has many places of unique beauty perfect for a day out fishing. So here is yet another marvelous fishing spot set among the luscious green woods of the lake’s eastern bank. Enjoy this picturesque fishing location not far from the Conifer Channel pier, as you stand on the gradually sloping shore gazing in serene meditation at the clear blue waters, occasional yachts and forresty thickets on the opposide side of the lake. Aside from the breathtaking sunset view, this spot boasts countless fishing opportunities, as the waters nearby are inhabited by numerous Northern Pike, Muskellunge, White Bass, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass.

Sandy Cape

Sandy Cape

Anyone looking for a place with a fulfilling feeling of open space, natural freedom and breezy freshness should head on a fishing getaway straight to the Sandy Cape. This beautiful fishing spot on the western bank of Saint-Croix Lake is located on an open sandy cape overlooking the lovely Conifer Channel pier and the distant Vanishing Rock Lighthouse. Here the sandy shore gradually slopes down into the cool blue waters, home to many fish that prefer large open spaces and deep waters, such as Walleye, Blue Catfish, White Bass and Smallmouth Bass. And as you enjoy some truly productive fishing, feel the fresh summer breeze caressing your face with a slight air of saltiness coming from Lake Michigan and enjoy the view that truly lets you appreciate all the splendour of Saint-Croix Lake.
