Description
Ruby Snapper (Etelis carbunculus) is a marine demersal fish from the Lutjanidae family, common in the Indo-Pacific region. It lives near rocky reefs at depths from 90 to 400 meters (300 to 1300 feet) and can’t be found at depths less than 10 meters (33 feet). It can reach 35 kilograms (77 lbs) in weight. The Ruby Snapper feeds on fish, squid, crustaceans, and cephalopods. It can form small flocks. You can catch it using bottom or jig tackle. The Ruby Snapper is attracted to tackle with shiny and luminous elements.
