Description

Lake Trout (Salvelinus Namaycush) is a freshwater fish and the largest of chars native to the lakes in the northern parts of North America, particularly the Great Lakes and Alaska. This species prefers to stay in cold, well oxygenated water and is prized by anglers both as a game fish and as a food fish. Adult Lake Trout usually range in weight from 2 to 10 kg (4 to 22 lb) but some individuals can weigh up to 20 kg (44 lb). Relentless hunters, Lake Trout feed primarily on other fish.
