Get ready to hunt the Giant Grouper and Ruby Snapper near the very bottom, as well as Striped Marlin and Mahi-Mahi near the surface. Starting points

Green Harbor

Green Harbor

This graceful marina in the northwest of the island is protected from destructive sea waves by powerful breakwaters made of stones and tetrapods. Various sea vessels, boats and yachts are moored to its berths. The coastal view attracts the eye with its authentic Japanese architecture of tiny shops, decorated with colorful bamboo paper lanterns and advertising signs that glow brightly in the dark. Your journey into the wonderful world of sea fishing starts right here, but if you don't feel like sailing far for big prey, you can catch smaller things like Japanese Jack Mackerel and Anchovies right from the marina's pier.

Torii No Koto

Torii No Koto

In this part of the island, high hills overgrown with grass and bushes smoothly turn to rocky shores. The rocks abruptly end and plummet into the depths, which makes it a great spot to hunt for various fish. These places, with their pristine beauty, would look as if no human had set foot here, if it were not for the ancient Torii seen on the hillside — the traditional rectangular doorless gate, a symbol of Japan. At the foot of the cliffs there is a flat rocky ledge at the very water edge. Although the beauty of sea fishing lies mainly in the high seas, an inquisitive angler can always try to land Giant Trevally, Green Jobfish and Japanese Amberjack in this secluded spot.
