Description
Green Jobfish (Aprion virescens) is a marine demersal fish from the Lutjanidae family, inhabiting the Indo-Pacific region. It lives in coastal waters near rocky and coral reefs, in channels and deep lagoons at a depth of 1 to 120 meters (3 to 400 feet). It can reach 16 kilograms (35 lbs) of weight. The Green Jobfish feeds mainly on fish, but can also eat crustaceans, cephalopods, and zooplankton. It can lead either a solitary lifestyle, or flock into small groups. You can best catch it with bottom and jig tackle.
