Description
The Giant Sweetlips (Plectorhinchus albovittatus) is a medium-sized fish found in the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. It inhabits clear lagoons, underwater slopes, and barrier reefs. This species prefers depths of up to 50 m. Giant Sweetlips are bottom-dwelling and territorial. They usually live alone but are sometimes seen in pairs. Their diet includes shrimp, crabs, worms, mollusks, and small fish. More active during the night, it moves to deeper parts of the reef during the day.
