Ah, the merry month of May! With spring in full bloom and summer closing in, recharge yourself by taking part in the unforgettable Char Charger’s Open! This sportfishing Tournament is all about catching the many fish pertaining to the Char genus, which means all your favorite kinds of Trout! Held on the North America’s top Trout fishing destinations - from the cold and beautiful banks of Alaska’s Kaniq Creek, to the breathtaking Saint-Croix Lake in Michigan and the snowy Canadian White Moose Lake, this exciting event will have you competing with fellow anglers in 2 preliminary Qualifiers as well as the Semifinal and the Final Round that’ll settle the dispute of who’s the Char Champion once and for all!


Terms of Participation


  • Everyone is eligible to register and participate in the Tournament.
  • All player level restrictions for visiting waterways in Tournament-related States will be temporarily lifted for all players registered in the Tournament.
  • Tournament registration fee covers all necessary Licenses for all the qualifying fish in the waterways of Tournament-related States. Licenses will be valid only for the duration of the Tournament for all participants regardless of their performance.
  • Tournament Rounds include: 2 Qualifiers, Semifinal and Final Round. A player who is already qualified to compete in the Semifinal Round cannot participate in the remaining Qualifying Rounds.
  • Winners of every Tournament Round are awarded in-game prizes.

Rules and Restrictions


  • Players may use only spinning or casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Players must use a Keepnet. No Stringers are allowed.
  • Only 10 fish from the player’s Keepnet will count in the Tournament. Any fish above that limit must be released.
  • Winner is determined by the total weight of 10 fish in the Keepnet at the end of a Round.
  • Each Qualifying Round last 20 hours. Within this period, players may choose a 2-hour time window to pass the Qualifier.
  • Qualifier Results become available 4 hours after the end of a Qualifying Round.
  • To get to the Semifinal Round a player must make it to the Top-30 in either one of the Qualifiers.
  • Semifinal and Final Rounds of the Tournament are held in real time, lasting 2 hours simultaneously for all players.
  • Only players who make it to the Top-20 in the Semifinal, will proceed to the Final Round.
  • Upon completion of each tournament stage, players with the Top-10 results get rewards.
  • Additional Prize is awarded for the biggest single fish caught.
  • Top-3 Tournament Finalists are awarded with valuable prizes: Credits, BaitCoins and unique equipment.

Hello and welcome to the 1st Qualifying Round of Char Charger’s Open - every Trout angler’s dream tournament! This is the 1st out of 2 chances you get to eventually become one of the 60 lucky anglers to compete in the Semifinal Round and just the time to excel in landing that Dolly Varden and Bull Trout! So try to do your very best as you compete against other anglers to secure your rightful spot in the Top-30 finalist on the cold and beautiful banks of Kaniq Creek, a stunning Alaskan waterway in the heart of Denali National Park!


  • Catch all forms of Dolly Varden and Bull Trout.
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.
  • Only 10 fish from your Keepnet will count in the Tournament. You will have to release some of the fish once you exceed this limit.
  • The winner is determined by the total weight of the Top 10 fish in his Keepnet at the end of the Round.
  • There is an additional Prize for the biggest single fish caught.
  • To get to the next Round, a player must have one of the Top 30 results.

Welcome to the 2nd and final Qualifying Round of Char Charger’s Open and your last chance to get one of the thirty best results and go through to the Semifinal if you didn’t make it to the Top 30 in the 1st Qualifier! Now’s the time to really concentrate and show your best result catching Brook and Tiger Trout as you enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Saint-Croix Lake’s vast open space!

Semifinal

This is the Semifinal Round of Char Charger’s Open, which means it’s time to head over to Canada’s snowy province of Alberta and get down to catching those Brook Trout, Lake Trout and Splake! The fantastic White Moose Lake awaits you right in the very heart of frozen Canadian wilderness, where you have a chance to get into the Top-20 by outperforming other anglers and then head on to the final round of this Spring season’s last tournament!


  • Catch all forms of Brook Trout, Lake Trout and Splake Trout.
  • You can use only spinning and casting rods.
  • Boats usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • Rod stand usage during the tournament is prohibited.
  • You must use a Keepnet.
  • Only 10 fish from your Keepnet will count in the Tournament. You will have to release some of the fish once you exceed this limit.

And while the chilly atmosphere of White Moose might make you forget that it’s May outside, rest assured this fishing battle will be enough to make anyone hot! After all, 20 best anglers belonging to the angling Elite will fight their final fishing battle for victory, fame, glory, the title of Char Charger Champion and of course valuable Prizes!
